1911 Govt. Model Black Rubber Grip with Finger Grooves
Wrap Around Grip
The Hogue name is practically synonymous with fine handgun grips. That's where it all started decades ago when a crafty LAPD officer named Guy Hogue took it upon himself to make a better wood grip for his duty revolver. Little did Guy know that his bright idea for a better grip would lay the foundation for today's Hogue, Inc. Guy's spirit lives on in a dazzling array of materials, styles and colors for your favorite pistol. You're just a few clicks away from a beautiful, high-resolution picture of your favourite revolver or autoloader wearing a new Hogue grip in your choice of materials, finishes and colours. Rubber, wood, aluminium, polymer, G10 or fancy hardwoods - the choice is all yours!
The 1911 is one the best-known of John Browning's designs and is considered to be one of the most favored, studied and enduring pistol designs of all times. Since March, 1911 when the US Armed Forces selected the M1911 as its official sidearm, it has been reproduced and copied (cloned) by dozens of other manufacturers, both in the US and abroad. Hogue 1911 grips are designed to accommodate slight variances in screw hole size / spacing and are available for both Full and Compact models in a variety of materials, colours and textures. It’s possible that some 1911 clones may deviate from the original screw hole spacing. If you are in doubt, measure your screw hole spacing and compare. The dimensions shown are approximate.
Hogue rubber grips are molded from durable synthetic rubber that is neither spongy nor tacky yet provides a soft recoil absorbing feel without affecting accuracy. This modern rubber requires a completely different molding process than ordinary neoprene resulting in a much superior grip. The flexibility of our materials and molding process has allowed us to produce rubber grips with features that out perform all other makes.
