Bore Tech Cu+2 Copper Remover™ uses a revolutionary and
patented chemical technology that rapidly removes copper fouling and is 100%
barrel safe, odor free and biodegradable. Cu+2 Copper Remover’s cutting edge
formulation is ammonia free and removes heavy copper fouling faster than the
competition without the safety hazards, harmful toxicity, and offensive odors
found in petro-ammonia based solvents.
Developed through years of advanced chemical research, the
Cu+2 Copper Remover™ is the patented copper remover that surpasses the rigorous
demands of today’s top shooters and cleans copper fouling faster than
traditional petro-ammonia based solvents.
Cu+2 COPPER REMOVER IS 100%
Cu+2 Copper Remover’s proprietary formulation and cleaning
process is designed for one thing; continued, rapid and complete extraction of
all copper fouling in your firearm’s bore. The key to the Cu+2 Copper Remover’s
unparalleled copper removing capabilities is an industry unique two step
In the first step, the Cu+2 Copper Remover rapidly oxidizes
and breaks down copper fouling by reconfiguring its electronic state. Once the
copper fouling is oxidized in step one, a specially enhanced binding agent
within the Cu+2 Copper Remover’s formulation acts like a magnet capturing the
copper and rendering it unable to redeposit in the firearms bore. This
exclusive technology allows for the complete extraction of copper fouling at
full strength without becoming saturated and losing effectiveness.
Bore Tech Cu+2 Copper Remover is 100% ammonia free and
barrel safe. It will not etch or harm barrel steels and can be safely left to
soak in the bore for an infinite period of time. In addition, the Cu+2 Copper
Remover also contains a short term rust preventative, which shields and
conditions the firearm’s bore after cleaning. Just dampen your last patch with
Cu+2 Copper Remover and your bore will be protected against rust and corrosion
for up to 2 weeks.
Simply put, Bore Tech’s Cu+2 Copper Remover works faster and
better without the fear of barrel damage and the dreadful ammonia smell. After
years of trying, this is the copper remover you’ll be buying.

Bore Tech Cu+2 Copper Remover™ Use Instructions
Wet 3 to 4 Bore Tech X Count patches with Cu+2 Copper
Remover and individually push through bore to remove loose fouling. Only push
patches through the bore in ONE direction.
Next, make 10 to 15 passes with a tight fitting Bore Tech
Proof-Positive Nylon brush saturated with Cu+2 Copper Remover.
Then repeat Step 1 and let Cu+2 Copper Remover soak for 3 to
5 minutes. For badly fouled rifles, extended soak times may be needed.
Finally, push dry patches through the bore until they come
Repeat above steps if necessary.
Before storing firearm, dampen a patch with Cu+2 Copper
Remover and push through bore. This will protect against rust/corrosion for up
to 2 weeks under normal storage conditions.
For extended storage or in adverse conditions apply Bore
Tech Friction Guard XP Gun Oil.
Before using firearm, always run a dry patch through the
bore. This will remove any residue and ensure against obstructions.
Q: What is the difference between Cu+2 Copper Remover and
Eliminator Bore Cleaner?
A: The Cu+2 Copper Remover is recommended for extreme copper
fouling situations such as barrel break-in, high round counts or neglected
barrels and specifically removes copper fouling only. Eliminator removes both
carbon and copper fouling and is recommend for most regular fouling situations.
Please see our Chemical Selection Guide located in the Specification Tab or in
our Knowledge Center for more information.
Q: Is Cu+2 Copper Remover safe to leave soak in a barrel
A: Yes, the Cu+2 Copper Remover can be left to safely soak
in barrels for an infinite time period.
Q: Does Cu+2 Copper Remover contain ammonia or any other
barrel damaging components?
A: No, the Cu+2 Copper Remover is 100% barrel safe.
Q: Is the Cu+2 Copper Remover safe for use on chrome lined
A: Yes, the Cu+2 Copper Remover can be safely used on chrome
lined barrels, chromoly steel barrels, stainless steel barrels and any other
commonly used barrel steel.
Q: Is the Cu+2 Copper Remover safe if it gets on my rifle
A: The Cu+2 Copper Remover is safe on all polymer,
fiberglass, laminated or polyurethaned wood. However, if the Cu+2 Copper
Remover comes in contact with an oiled wooden stock, it might cause a blemish
by removing the oil and require reapplication of sealing oil.
Q: Can Cu+2 Copper Remover be used on the outside of my
A: Yes, the Cu+2 Copper Remover can be safely used on the
outside of a rifle barrel to remove copper fouling. Once finished cleaning be
sure to wipe the cleaned area dry and apply Bore Tech Shield XP Rust
Q: Can Cu+2 Copper Remover be used on nickel plating?
